The rest of ad:tech

Today I went to three more ad:tech sessions, and was pretty disappointed on the whole. There was a lot of high level discussion, plenty of theory, and nothing actionable. It was interesting enough, but not really that useful. I went to three sessions: Continue reading ‘The rest of ad:tech’

Ad:tech Sydney - Facebook Keynote

We have some access to Ad:tech in Sydney through work. Today we were pretty busy, and our pass got a workout. I just went to the two keynote sessions. The second one wasn’t too good, but the Facebook one was good. Mike Murphy (VP of Media Sales, Facebook) presented it. To be honest, his presenting skills weren’t that good. In the last two weeks or so, we’ve had ~50 people add the event to their profiles.

I’m not sure how valuable this will be, because as far as I am aware, we did not use any link tracking to see which people are coming from the Facebook page to the rego page, and we do not have access to the site stats for that page. Continue reading ‘Using Facebook to promote: first impressions’
