Recently I ran an email campaign for Akubra Hats, launching a new part of their website that was specifically targeted to an online audience. They do not send email campaigns regularly; this was the first contact point for many of the people we mailed to.
I created the email (see below) in a similar style to those that we send at work. Nice and simple, with just enough styling to be “on brand”.

Thunderbird is a great email client. I used it for a long time before I switched to Gmail, which is just as good (if not better) for my needs.

Sorry for the delay, I’ve been flat out getting one of our clients set up to be compliant with the new Spam laws that have just come into force. We had six months to do this - It happened in the last three days (and nights!)
Our Salesforce instance (I don’t really know what to call a “copy” of salesforce) was fully compliant with Australian and New Zealand law until the change. We captured opt-in information, allowed easy unsubscription from communications, and generally had very few problems. Yesterday at work we sent out a newsletter that we do about once every two months for one of our clients. Overall, it is going really well - we’ve had a good response to it, and have achieved a substantial click-through rate (CTR).

Today I began implementing Campaign Hierarchies in Salesforce for one of our clients. We already have it in ours, so i thought I’d give a quick rundown of what they are and how they work.
Hierarchies basically allow you to group campaigns in the same way that you can group accounts, in a parent/child relationship. You can have up to five levels in your hierarchy - we have the following structure for our regular campaigns:
Individual Email < Parent Campaign by Year < Overall campaign
I think that makes sense
