I just came across this story in my news feed.
It’s because TV in Australia is crap at the moment (ie the past few years), and that’s putting it lightly. The the exception of a few shows, there is nothing worth watching on Australian TV. Those good shows are usually moved to later and later timeslots, and then they get cancelled (Yes, I am talking about The Sopranos). I’m attending an AIMIA event next Tuesday : “Search: The Future of Search Engine Marketing“. I think it should be pretty good, I haven’t been to an AIMIA event before - or anything much else for that matter - but I’ve heard that most of their events are good.
I have dipped a toe in SEM, but don’t have that much experience in the area. I’ve certainly never done anything major - just stuff for personal websites I’ve had in the past. I did write a strategy for one of our clients, but it wasn’t implemented (budget constraints).
The website and promotional material actually doesn’t give much away, so I’m not really sure what to expect, but I’ll let you know if I learn anything interesting…
