I also had Mikkel & Menno recently and was expecting something more innovative or interesting from the combination of these two impressive and creative brewers. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it...thought it was a very good Weizenbock, but just a straightforward one. For a high alcohol and malt driven beer, the June 2009 bottling date should not be an issue. A beer like that will be good for years, unless the bottle had been treated badly in transit. Completely agree with your review.
