My Wordpress skills are steadily progressing, I’m developing another blog for work. It isn’t quite ready enough to show here yet :). We are hiring a designer to help out making a front page (a special one, not just a list of recent posts). I think it is the guy who designed The Roar - a site that impressed me when I found out it was 100% made through Wordpress. I like seeing what it can do. I mentioned Yahoo Mindset a few days ago - I think intent driven search is going to revolutionise search, and everything related to it. According to Bruce Clay, all of the big search engines are working on similar technologies. You search as you normally would, and your results show up as they normally would - here is a search for the PV-GS300, my video camera (from Panasonic).
The default search shows up a pretty even mix of “research” and “shopping” sites. Notice the slider between these two variables above the search results.
I just came across this story in my news feed.
It’s because TV in Australia is crap at the moment (ie the past few years), and that’s putting it lightly. The the exception of a few shows, there is nothing worth watching on Australian TV. Those good shows are usually moved to later and later timeslots, and then they get cancelled (Yes, I am talking about The Sopranos).
